ATSG (Automatic Transmission Service Group) transmission manuals are the same transmission repair manuals used by 1000's of transmission rebuilders nationwide.
Each Basic transmission manual has a general description of that transmission type and detailed instructions on:
transmission disassembly, componet disassembly, componet repair and re-assembly, transmission re-assembly & application charts (clutch & sprag apply)
They also include: detailed diagrams and technical drawings, torque specifications, adjustments and tolerances and exploded views of many valve bodies

ATSG Update Handbooks are available for many transmissions. Update Handbooks will show many of the changes that were made for each transmission for the years listed. And will show the other parts that were affected by these changes, their part numbers and the interchangeability of these parts. Update Handbooks DO NOT have Disassembly or Re-assembly sections.
